Jollipop Studios began as a passion project inspired by independent creators on platforms like YouTube and Instagram. I immersed myself in small business research—studying packaging trends, pricing models, audience engagement strategies, and production workflows.
Through trial and error, I developed original stationery collections including stickers, art prints, and paper goods. I built the brand identity, created packaging systems, managed online marketing, photographed products, and handled fulfillment. Jollipop Studios became both a creative outlet and a hands-on education in entrepreneurship, branding, and customer-centred design.
1. Market Research & Inspiration
Before creating anything, I immersed myself in the small creative business space. I studied independent sellers on platforms like YouTube and Instagram to understand how successful brands positioned themselves, priced products, and built loyal communities. This phase helped me identify gaps in tone and visual storytelling that I wanted Jollipop Studios to fill.
2. Brand Identity Exploration
I explored colour palettes, typography, and illustration styles that felt playful yet cohesive. The goal was to create a recognizable aesthetic that could grow with the business while still feeling handmade and personal. I tested multiple directions before refining a visual system that felt consistent across print and digital touch points.
3. Product Ideation & Prototyping
Each product began as sketches and concept boards. I experimented with materials, finishes, and sizing to ensure the designs translated well into physical form. This hands-on prototyping phase involved testing print quality, sticker durability, and packaging scale to ensure both aesthetic and functional success.
4. Packaging & Customer Experience
I approached packaging as part of the storytelling, not just protection. The unboxing experience was intentionally designed to feel thoughtful and memorable, reinforcing brand personality through inserts, wrapping details, and typography. Every touch point was considered an opportunity to deepen brand connection.
5. Launch & Marketing Strategy
I developed content strategies, product photography setups, and promotional campaigns to support launches. By experimenting with messaging and visual storytelling online, I learned how to adapt creative direction based on engagement and feedback. This phase strengthened my understanding of brand voice in real-world application.
6. Iteration & Growth
Customer feedback and sales performance informed ongoing refinements. I adjusted product offerings, pricing, and visuals based on data and community response. This continuous improvement mindset shaped Jollipop Studios into both a creative brand and a strategic business.

This project reflects my ability to translate complex or sensitive topics — such as mental health — into accessible, human-centred visuals and content. By combining creative storytelling with performance analysis, I was able to grow an engaged audience, adapt strategy based on evidence, and communicate ideas in ways that resonated both emotionally and measurably. It strengthened my ability to balance creativity with strategy — designing content that is visually compelling, audience-aware, and informed by real-world performance data. It reflects my interest in making ideas accessible, engaging, and effective, whether through design, storytelling, or research-driven communication.
