The Process

Research & Discovery

We began by analyzing the museum’s existing website and identifying key usability issues. Audience research and competitor analysis helped define user needs and highlight opportunities for improvement.

Project Planning & Team Coordination

I established project timelines, delegated tasks, and facilitated regular check-ins to keep the team aligned. Clear communication and structured workflows ensured that all members could contribute effectively.

Content Strategy & Information Architecture

We restructured the site’s content to improve navigation and clarity. This included organizing information into intuitive categories and refining messaging to better engage visitors.

Wireframing & UX Design

Low- and mid-fidelity wireframes were developed to map out the user journey. These designs prioritized accessibility, ease of navigation, and a logical flow of information.

Visual Design, Branding & Marketing

The interface was refined with a cohesive visual style that reflects the museum’s identity. Typography, imagery, and layout were carefully considered to balance historical content with a modern presentation. A full scale marketing plan was also put in place including social media, print ads, a scavenger hunt app, and classroom integration.

Final Presentation & Delivery

The final concept was compiled into a polished presentation, showcasing the redesigned experience and key improvements. As Project Manager, I led the presentation and communicated our design decisions and outcomes.

Impact & Outcomes

The project resulted in a more user-friendly and visually cohesive digital experience for the London Aviation Museum. The redesigned structure improves navigation, making it easier for visitors to access key information such as exhibits, events, and educational resources.

From a team perspective, the project demonstrates strong leadership and collaboration skills. By managing timelines, coordinating tasks, and maintaining clear communication, I ensured the successful delivery of a complex, multi-phase project.

This work highlights the ability to balance strategy, design, and teamwork—showcasing not only design execution but also the critical role of project management in achieving cohesive and impactful results.
